wow, what a weekend! the holidays are definitely around the corner and it seemed to be shouting at us this weekend.
on friday, we were very lucky to be invited to an internal holiday show at google’s sf offices and even though we can’t tell you all of the super secret stuff we observed (primary colored walls and all… surprise!), it was such an honor to be invited. we’re talking GOOGLE, people! a huge thanks to kristin brillantes who contacted us to participate – we’d love to do it again!
a little peek at our booth…
saturday and sunday saw type.lites at the biggest craft show of the season… renegade of course! renegade has been sooo good to us and this time it was even better than we could have expected – let’s just say we had a VERY light load on the way home! thank you to renegade and sf, we had a blast! a big shoutout to our booth neighbors, julie nolan jewelry, orange slice and p.o.p. candy co for being fun and neighborly. gotta love that.
we debuted our laser cut wood magnets this weekend and they were a hit! they featured five of our favorite quotes including the popular “eight days a week i love you” from john lennon and paul mccartney.
a ginormous thank you goes out to natalie and jen for lending a helping hand at our booth on sunday. we wouldn’t have made it through the day without you!
check back with us later this week for a recap of our favorite vendors and all the goodies we got.
it was an early saturday for type.lites this weekend with our first jan ken po gakko event at the sacramento asian sports foundation. our main focus for attending this event: food! (so we’re a bit easily bribed…) not only were the girl scouts cooking up spam musabi and asian goodies for lunch, but osaka-ya was on hand with special blueberry butter mochi. not to mention the other cookies and goodies that were being sold all over, it was a smorgasbord of food galore. we did manage to squeeze in some time for selling candles too!
a big thanks to renee, who tirelessly organized this seamless event, and the awesome team of volunteers on hand. it was a great way to wrap up our summer show tour and get us thinking about the holiday season… happy wednesday everybody!!
jan ken po gakko is a parent cooperative program that educates children and their families about japanese-american culture through exploration in language, music, arts and cooking. click here for more information about the program.
we had the most amazing time this weekend at the SF renegade craft faire! it was our first year and we were SO excited to be among over 200 vendors at fort mason this weekend. and as an added bonus, we ate our way through the fort mason farmer’s market on sunday morning! thanks so much to everyone who stopped by and to the lovely renegade staff for putting on such a fabulous event. we can’t wait to come back next year!!
you can see more photos of our booth on our flickr photo stream
being surrounded by so many creative people over the course of the two days was truly inspiring. we met a ton of people and made some new friends!! here’s a few of our favorites.

so we’re a little late on the weekend recap this week, but we wanted everyone to enjoy love day and leave you undisturbed for optimal make out kit usage!
getting to our recap, we had loads of fun on saturday at the xox experience: brunch drunk love. first off we have to give a huge thanks to eyeheartsf for putting on this super fun event. we definitely had a ton of laughs with everyone enjoying themselves and the bottomless mimosas/manmosas. the event was a definite success, with over 1800 tickets sold! seriously impressive. sf station was on hand to cover the event and you can view their images here. you might even see a couple of familiar faces!
we’d also like to give a shoutout to our vendor neighbors cary lane and san franola granola. we loved hanging out with them and hopefully the future brings us together again! we have to mention that david @ san franola fed us delectable granola treats ALL day and for that, we are truly in love with him! check out cary lane here and san franola here. and more of our polaroids here!

Saturday’s craft fair was a huge success! Everyone was so supportive and welcoming. A big thank you to Stephanie and everybody at the Paper Garden who were so kind in hosting this event, but also opened their hearts for a special cause. See more after the jump!
